Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

Due to the ongoing pandemic and restrictions to have in-person programming, the Library will be contiuning live virtual programming using the Zoom platform on most Tuesday evenings, and on other days of the week.  The programs are all free and open to the public, and can be accessed from a computer, tablet, and/or phone. Staff encourages the virtual audience to ask questions via live chat.

If permitted by the presenter, programs will be recorded and later archived on the website. You can view past virtual programs by going to: Virtual Programs. To find more information about upcoming virtual programs, please call the Library at 815-223-2341.

We encourage you to attend the variety of free programs we host for adults, youth, and families, throughout the year.  From presentations, lectures, and art workshops to preschool science, family nights, reading therapy dogs and NASA based events, the Library has something for everyone!

You can find information about programs by looking at the sidebar of this page. Programs are divided between adult and youth.  Once you've decided the section, you will be able to click directly to the program information on our Facebook page that will provide details on time and location.

You can also stop in to pick up flyers for programs, or if you would like to sign up for program reminders and/or library news, you can subscribe to our email list bt contacting Rachael at [email protected], and/or like us on Facebook to receive information about programs. Unless otherwise specified, all Library programs are free and open to the public.
