Adult & Teen Services Program Coordinator

Job Purpose

To coordinate, plan, and present programming for Adult & Teens including, but not limited to Zoom programs, in-person, and hybrid forms. May be asked to assist with Children's Programming as needed. May be asked to assist at desk as needed.

Job Duties

Coordinates informational, educational, cultural, and recreational programming for Adults and Teens, such as monthly concert series, book discussions, and civic engagement programs; plans and presents programs and related publicity; participates in and assists with planning outreach programs as needed, assist with all summer reading programs, manages booking and preparing the meeting room, assisting with gathering and preparing statistics for government grants and programs, and works within the Library's programming budget. Reports directly to the Director. 

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Responsibilities

Provide consistant friendly service to all.

Ability to plan and complete work accurately, effciently, on-time, can both collaborate or work independently, exercising initiative and independent judgement. 

Ability to develop, plan, organize, perform, and evalute programs and services.

Exceptional human relations and communication skills.

Experience using social media, Microsoft software, Google account, the Internet, and general office equipment.

Experience with customer service practices, time management, organizational skills, community relations, and publicity techniques. 

Knowlege of evolving trends in library services.

Working knowledge of budgeting procedures.

Specific Working Conditions

Performed amid normal conditions of dust, odors, fumes, and noise in a library environment. 

Able to lift 40 pounds, bend, reach, sit, or stand for extended periods of time.

Sustain posture in a standing or seated position for prolonged periods of time.

Able to shelve library materials.

Available to work during days, evenings, and some Saturdays. 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with libraries or event coordinating background.

Holding of an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university.
