Field Trip - Museum of Science and Industry

Be our guest for a day at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, on Saturday, July 31st!  The all-day event, travel, lunch and tickets will be paid via grant funding and will be free to Library guests. There is limited seats available. Transportation will be through Green River Lines. All participants must follow the COVID-19 guidelines set by the Library, the Museum and by Green River during the field trip.
 
The technology adventure excursion will include a visit to the Henry Crown Space Center, where, in addition to viewing the many NASA exhibits, participants will experience a Virtual Reality Space Walk. The excursion will also include touring and exploring the Science Storms: Wonder is All Natural,” a diverse hands-on exhibit featuring avalanche, atoms, lightning, fire, sunlight, tornado, and tsunami.
 
More details on the Museum itinerary will be forthcoming for those who register to attend the excursion. The opportunity is for youth 11 to 14 years old. All youth must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
 
If you wish to join us on this technology adventure excursion, you must register no later than Friday, July 16th at 5:00 p.m. Funding for this field trip was made possible through grant funding by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of the Secretary of State, Jesse White.
