Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

Library Opens to In-Person Browsing

We are open to in-person browsing, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Face coverings/masks are required when in the Library. Both entrances are open, and patrons are welcome to browse the collection but are asked to keep their visit to 10 to 15 minutes.
All materials should be returned in the outdoor book drop. Curbside service is still available. Call the Library at 815-223-2341 or email your requests to bookrequests@lasalle.lib.il.us.
Computer access is available in Adult Services for up to 30 minutes. If you are working on an unemployment claim, homework assignment, tax return or doing job searching, please let the staff know when you are checking-in at the circulation desk, so we can better serve you.
We will continue to offer free access to e-books/digital resources, as well as full-text articles, and genealogy research through Heritage Quest. Live, free virtual programming will also continue to be offered via Zoom. Visit the Library’s website (lasalle.lib.il.us) and/or Facebook page for a list of upcoming programs and registration instructions
Based on the recommendations from the CDC, lounge chairs and study tables will remain unavailable. In-person programming remains suspended as well as the use of the Meeting Room by non-library groups.
