Preparing the Garden for Winter

On Tuesday, October 6th, at 6:00 p.m. the LaSalle Public Library will virtually host University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener and Master Naturalist, Meg Overocker, when she presents, “Preparing the Garden for the Winter.”

It's getting colder, so now what?  There are some steps you can take to get your garden ready for winter and jumpstarted for Spring! In this informational program, Meg Overocker will walk you through steps you can take to prep your yard for the winter season!  Topics covered will include cleanup, landscaping, and preparing your plants!  At the end of the program, Meg will answer audience questions via live chat.

Meg Overocker is a University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener and Master Naturalist, as well as the Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Program Coordinator for the University of Illinois Extension Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall and Putnam County Unit.  Her passions include vegetable gardening and forest wildflowers.  In her spare time, Meg enjoys hiking and canoeing with her husband and daughter.
