Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

Live Virtual Programming @ the Library

Beginning in June, the Library will launch free live virtual programming accessible from your computer, tablet or even your phone, right at home! Like in-person programs, our virtual audience will be able to pose questions in the live chat; Library staff will monitor the chat and pose those questions to the presenter at the end of the program.  We hope you will join us in this new programming adventure beginning with four outstanding Gardening programs presented by Master Gardener, Natalie Martin. This series will be followed by a Birding program, presented by Lisa Sons, Natural Resources Coordinator at Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks.

Later in the summer, the Library will host Musician and Historian, Dennis Stroughmatt performing his program, "Mussels, Moonshine, and Music: Mississippi Valley Migrant Life in the Early Twentieth Century," and NASA Solar System Ambassador, Joel Knapper will be back with an encore presentation of "Women in Space" as well as a new program about the 2024 NASA return to the Moon.

Keep watching -- we'll be talking more about virtual programming for kids, soon. Make sure to "Like" our Facebook page, as we are continuing to be active on social media during this challenging time.
