Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

They say there is no ‘free lunch’ in life.  But there are free books!  I still can’t believe I can go to my local library and get just abut any book in the world – and I don’t have to pay a dime!!  It’s amazing!  The library is truly the greatest invention of our civilization.

Ask?Away is an online "real-time" chat reference service  that opens the vast resources of Illinois's libraries to all  residents, no matter where they live or when they need information.  The 24-hour-a-day, 7-days a week, Ask?Away service is staffed by the 24/7 Reference Consortium, a group of hundreds of librarians across the country who work together to provide this service. Local Illinois librarians contribute time to the consortium and local residents benefit from the expanded service.  Ask?Away allows you to ask questions and receive answers in a number of ways.  Don't like live chat?  Email your question to reflsb@lasalle.lib.il.us.  You are always welcome to pick up the telephone and contact us at (815) 223-2341 during our normal business hours.  Choose the option most convenient for you!
