Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

I spent the first few years of my life in a smallish community in Queens.  Back in those early days, kids could roam the streets with relatively little supervision and one place I visited frequently was the local library.  This particular branch was little more than a storefront but to me it was an alternative universe where I could explore my interests and receive kind, informative answers to my questions from the wonderful librarians.

Programs & Events

We encourage you or your family to attend the variety of free programs we host for adults, youth, and families, throughout the year.  From presentations, lectures, MakerSpaces, and art workshops to preschool science, family nights, reading therapy dogs and NASA based events, the Library has something for everyone!

You can find information about programs by looking at the sidebar of this page. Programs are divided between adult, teens and youth.  Once you've decided the section, you will be able to click directly to the program information on our Facebook page that will provide details on time and location.

You can also stop in to pick up flyers for programs, or if you would like to sign up for program reminders, you can subscribe to our email list or like us on Facebook to receive information about programs and/or events. Unless otherwise specified, all Library programs are free and open to the public.
