Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

Rokenbok/Kid Spark Free Training Workshop for Informal and Formal Educators

Event Date:
Jun 7 2019 - 11:00am

Whether it is summer programming or a hands-on NGSS classroom project, Rokenbok Kid Spark engineering and design kits are ideal resources for engaging K – 8 kids in fun learning. The kits, available for checkout at the LaSalle Public Library, are ready to use along with step-by-step lessons and educational standards…and now, youth educators can participate in a free hands-on training workshop that makes facilitating Kid Spark programs even easier.

The LaSalle Public Library offers 9 Kid Spark kits via interlibrary loan. They are available for customary two-week check-outs. Mix and match the three types of kits for expanded programming versatility. Each kit comes with a full curriculum, either digital or printed, simplifying program design.

Space is limited to 12 participants. This free 3-hour interactive training program via live Zoom webinar will encourage participants to experience the programming as their students will experience it. A Kid Spark facilitator will be available to answer questions and direct successful problem-solving. In addition to the programming that can be generated from these kits, participants can also become more familiar with the Kid Spark web resources.

Join us for this opportunity! Friday, June 7th, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Snacks and beverages will be provided; while we won’t be breaking for an official lunch, feel free to bring something, if you wish. Please use this link to register: https://form.jotform.com/91337092248156
