Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

I am a Scientist! - Magic Moving Electrons!

Event Date:
Dec 5 2017 - 11:00am

Join us for "I am a Scientist" with Laura Robinson, on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Especially for children, ages 4 through 9, with a parent or an adult caregiver, these approximately hour-long programs, offered in the morning and evening, are designed to provide children with fun hands-on science learning that gives children confidence to explore and discover.

On Tuesday, December 5th, at 11:00 a.m., explore the world of electrons and energy with "Magic Moving Electrons!" In this program, participants will create their own power source through the transfer of electrons using a plain ordinary potato...veggie power strong enough to light up an LED bulb! This fun and simple experiment helps participants understand how batteries really work.

This program is free and open the public. Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For more information, please call the Library at 815-223-2341.
