I am a Scientist! Creepy Crawlies

Event Date:
Oct 18 2017 - 5:00pm

Join us for “I am a Scientist!” with Laura Robinson, on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings! Especially for children, ages 4 through 9, with a parent or an adult caregiver, these approximately hour-long programs, offered in the morning and again in the evening are designed to provide children with fun hands-on science learning that gives children confidence to explore and discover.

On Tuesday, October 17th at 11:00 a.m. "Creepy Crawlies" will give kids an opportunity to learn about the importance of insects and worms. Children will examine pond water and spider webs through the microscope, then observe earthworms, to learn more about this important animal's food and temperature preferences. Fascinating animals, up close! No animals will be harmed. This program will be repeated on Wednesday, October 18th, at 5:00 p.m.

This program is free and open to the public. Children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult. This program is limited to 15 children. The LaSalle Public Library is located at 305 Marquette, LaSalle, and is ADA compliant and welcoming. For more information, please call the Library at 815-223-2341.
