Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

Be Smarter Than Your Phone

Event Date:
Feb 23 2017 - 1:30pm
Join us, on Thursday, February 23rd, at 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., when the Library will host a free workshop to give "smart" phone users the hands-on instruction and tools that they need to make cell phones do the work while users enjoy the convenience and features.

Smart phones -- different brands, different features...but all have one thing in common -- fun and useful features that can be really great to use, or can be so utterly confusing and frustrating that users long for the ability to simple answer a call and say "Hello?"

Veteran Smart Phone Tech Instructor, Rodney Tennison, from IV Cellular, will provide instructions to all participants, no matter the brand or model of phone, or the service provider. Participants will learn the basic set-up of their phone, how to connect to the internet, use the phone's digital camera function and how to take really good photos.  Attendees will learn how to use email and picture messaging, answer voicemail, and browse and download apps from the app store. Tennison will step participants through the meaning of all those buttons and provide tips and tricks to make smart phone usage enjoyable.
