Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

Brown Bag "Engagements"

Event Date:
Jul 7 2016 - 12:15pm

Pack a lunch or a snack and join us at the Library for staff-selected TED Talks or podcasts from the Moth Radio Hour.  In these thought-provoking, informative and often, inspiring programs, participants will either watch or listen to one of these recordings.  A time for discussion will follow.

Coffee and chilled beverages will be served, as well light refreshments.  This program is free and open to the public.

TED is a non-profit organzation devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks.  The talks, originally presented at conferences worldwide cover topics from science to buisness to global issues--in more than 100 languages.  It is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world.

The Moth Community Program teaches the craft of personal storytelling. The experience provides people with the tools to share the stories of their personal experiences, bridge divides and create connections.
