LegoMania July 8th at 3pm
Event Date:
Jul 8 2015 - 3:00pm Especially for kids ages 8 years and up, the LaSalle Public Library is launching LegoMania as part of the 2015 summer programming. If you love Legos and are at least 8 years old, join us, on Wednesdays, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to build kits or your own original constructions. Generously donated by the Dale Family, the Library’s Lego collection went from zero to “a whole lot,” overnight. This fantastic collection includes thousands of bricks to build Lego City places and transportation, favorites like Star Wars, Avengers, NASCAR kits, other character sets, and many, many Harry Potter sets. What to build first? LegoMania participants may build whatever they choose, but the Library staff is hoping that some of the builders will be interested in building all of the Harry Potter sets so that they may be displayed with the Harry Potter series, beginning on Harry’s birthday, July 31st! LegoMania will meet on Wednesdays, on June 17th and 24th, and on July 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th. Join us on a Summer Road Trip to places built from your imagination! Please note: LegoMania will not meet on July 15th; instead, kids will be invited to participate in “You’re In the Picture!” This program is free and open to the public. The Library is located at 305 Marquette Street, LaSalle, IL and is Americans with Disabilities Act compliant and welcoming. If you wish to attend the event and have special needs because of a disability, please contact Donna Blomquist at 815-223-2341 to discuss arrangements. |
